Here is how the Engineering Technician role will impact our business:
- Annual Pipeline Safety Agency Reporting (Federal and State)
- Processing pipeline class location data and HCA studies
- Working with third party vendors providing mapping data
- Pipeline Safety audit support
- Cookordination with Engineering, Operations, Integrity Management, Compliance, and GIS teams to ensure accurate asset information
- Aid with data validation and quality control for regulatory reporting
Required Experience and Skills:
- At least 1 year of experience in Oil and Gas mapping or compliance
- Associate's Degree required
- Proficiency in Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
- Strong background in Microsoft Office specifically Excel
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Degree in Geography or related field
- General understanding of pipeline safety regulations 49 CFR parts 192 and 195
- Basic understanding of In-line Inspection data
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, or similar GIS platforms
- Experience with pipeline database systems, document management systems
Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee unless willing to relocate.
Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
