Responsibilities
- Perform field and/or laboratory compliance testing on materials generally used in the construction industry (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
- Training with certification is done in house by experienced project managers using online resources.
- Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, and contractor representatives daily.
- Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
- Use company trucks to mobilize staff to project sites and deliver samples to the laboratory for testing and analysis.
- Tabulate, prepare, and submit digital reports using field laptops for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager.
- Under close supervision, learn and assist with tasks and perform basic testing and observations duties.
- Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
- Communicate information to the Project Manager and discuss the accuracy of data in preparation for submission.
- Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.
- Maintain assigned equipment.
- Follow safety rules and practices and adhere to other safety requirements for all projects.
- Perform pre-task planning and report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Ensure quality standards on all projects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history.
