Engineering Technician I
As an Engineering Technician I at Mytra, you will join our Manufacturing Engineering team during a period of rapid scaling and production growth. This is an entry-to-junior level role focused on executing structured, well-defined assembly and production tasks under direct supervision. You will work closely with senior technicians and engineers to learn our processes, maintain an efficient workspace, and ensure hardware is built to strict quality and safety standards.
- Support Production Continuity: Execute structured, routine assembly workflows under close direction. Assist in identifying obvious line blocks and escalating technical issues promptly to senior team members.
- Execute Processes: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) with high accuracy and care. Record simple logs, production data, and basic technical documentation accurately.
- Sustain Workflow Efficiency: Contribute positively to team productivity by reliably delivering assigned work, maintaining a steady pace while prioritizing attention to quality and detail.
- Maintain Production Assets: Operate basic shop equipment under supervision, assist with routine preventive maintenance tasks, and help keep tooling inventory organized.
- Execute Hardware Builds: Assist in building product prototypes according to established documentation and step-by-step engineering instructions.
- Collaborate & Learn: Communicate respectfully and clearly with supervisors and peers. Ask clarifying questions to understand instructions, and actively engage in learning Mytra’s technical standards.
Requirements
- Basic hands-on experience or vocational training in mechanical assembly, using standard hand/power tools, and a foundational ability to read technical drawings or blueprints.
- An interest or basic experience in fabrication, and comfort working around structural components or heavy machinery.
- A foundational understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts or working in an ISO 9001 environment.
- A physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain mobile throughout the facility.
- A willingness to learn and use standard Metrology & Inspection tools (like calipers and micrometers) to complete simple, routine measurements accurately.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma, trade school certificate, or Associate degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or prototyping environment.

Pay Range
The pay range for this role is: 32 - 37 USD per hour (Mytra, Inc.)
Location
This role requires on-site presence at our Brisbane, CA headquarters, for close collaboration with the other teams.
