About the role

LISI AEROSPACE is a specialized company in the design and manufacture of high-tech metal components for aircraft engines and airframes. Our mission is to lead in costs, quality, deadlines, and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to improve product flow and throughput.
• Develop product structures/methods in accordance with product standards and specifications.
• Create, maintain, and review operational engineering drawings for internally and externally threaded products.
• Create, maintain, and review tooling drawings for internally and externally threaded products.
• Create, maintain, and review overlay drawings for dimensional inspection.
• Create, maintain, and review product structures defining manufacturing process flow and relevant information.
• Update product routers and ensure they meet final customer requirements.
• Provide technical support to other departments in pin, collar, and nut manufacturing.
• Provide technical support in quality inspection and mechanical testing.
• Provide technical support in metallurgical analysis and heat treatment processes.
• Understand and properly dispose of non-conforming product, using root cause analysis tools.
• Understand and apply knowledge of various internal systems and applications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Level I: 5 years equivalent combination of technical education and experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Level II: 7 years of engineering experience or equivalent combination of experience and related education.
• Advanced knowledge of machinery and procedures.
• Proficiency in computer skills necessary for the job function.
• Working knowledge of relevant engineering applications.

Skills

• Strong technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, assembly, and production equipment.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering applications.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CAD.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak and listen effectively in various settings.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

Our typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
