Qualifications
- An associate degree in a related technical field is preferred or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Demonstrated competence in algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
- Basic proficiency with 2-D drafting or 3-D modeling software is required.
- Skill in reading and interpreting contract plans and other technical documents related to structural steel fabrication is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to work well within a team atmosphere, and an attention to detail.
- Aptitude to gain an understanding of various company information and technical systems.
- Proficiency in Windows operating system (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
Requirements
- Develop and utilize knowledge of High Steel fabrication and shop requirements to produce various detail drawings.
- Develop proficiency in reading and interpreting design drawings and in applying company standards and various owner specifications for completion of detailing assignments.
- Work and communicate effectively within a team.
