About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, or testing US Naval shipboard electro-hydraulic equipment, such as steering systems, boat davits, cranes, elevators and hoists, or similar control and electric drive systems on high pressure hydraulic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Independently or leading a team of technicians in troubleshooting, repairing or testing US Naval ship structural, mechanical, or electrical equipment/systems.
- Independently or leading a team performing Formal material condition assessments (TSRA, ICMP, INSURV or similar) of US Navy ship's systems.
- Communicating troubleshooting issues or assessments with official reports.
- Documented experience with MS Office, Navy Maintenance Database (NMD), Electronic Departure from Specifications (eDFS), Navy Ship's Engineering Drawing Repository (NSEDR), and/or TASS-Info.
Requirements
- A combination of mechanical and electrical disciplines, but primarily electrical in nature.
- Assessment and oversight of repairs of the following U.S. Navy shipboard electro-hydraulic equipment: steering systems, boat davits, cranes, elevators and hoists, or similar control and electric drive systems on high pressure hydraulic equipment.
- Interpreting naval engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.

- Experience independently or leading a team performing Formal material condition assessments (TSRA, ICMP, INSURV or similar) of US Navy ship's systems.
