About the role

L3Harris Fuzing & Ordnance Systems seeks an Engineering Technician to join a multi-disciplinary team. This role involves designing, manufacturing, and testing electronic and electro-mechanical devices that support war fighters for the USA and allies.

Responsibilities

• Set up test equipment and perform electronic testing, both manual and automated, in a production environment.
• Perform electronic troubleshooting and fault isolation.
• Record test data, maintain test data file system, shop routing documentation and accept/reject data for production & engineering assemblies.
• Aid technicians and engineers in performing Root Cause and Failure Analysis.
• Calibrate electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.
• Correct malfunctions by adjusting or replacing parts or components.
• Aid Engineering in establishing operating standards for test systems including detailed test plans and work instructions.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent formal training in Electronics Engineering Technology (or related discipline) and a minimum of 6 years relevant work experience related to testing, troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuits and electronic components.
• High School Diploma and a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience related to testing, troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuits and electronic components.
• Working knowledge (formal training and practical experience) of electronic circuitry and ability to read and understand schematic diagrams.
• Must be eligible to qualify and obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance or higher.
• Experience using spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, and other RF test equipment.
• IPC Solder Certification.
• Experience working in the Defense Industry.
• Experience working in Electronics Manufacturing.
