Engineering Technician
About the Opportunity
Zap Energy is looking for a driven, detail-orientated Engineering Technician to join our growing organization. The Engineering Technician's responsibilities include installing wiring and cables, assembling systems, tracking inventory, and ensuring sites are safe and clean. In a research & development environment the technician must be able to adapt rapidly to changing requirements and circumstances, communicate effectively under pressure, and provide constructive suggestions for improvement.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of verifiable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Working knowledge of health and safety standards and practices.
- Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform basic and repetitive assembly operations as required.
- General knowledge of operating hand tools, portable power tools, and bench tools.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. daily and maintain a safe working environment.
Preferred
- Solidworks or Revit knowledge
- Forklift training or certification
- Experience in an R&D environment
- Associate degree in engineering technology or similar.
Pay
Estimated pay range: $38-48 per hour. Candidates may be considered for other positions at Zap Energy and actual salary will be based on relevant education, experience, and other qualifications. Range is published in accordance with Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act.
