DISCOVER
- Play a hands-on role in testing, troubleshooting, and improving electro-mechanical systems in a fast-paced lab environment.
- Generate reliable test data, identify trends, and uncover root causes of failures.
- Set up and implement component and system tests, build and maintain test fixtures, and ensure test results are clearly documented and communicated.
- Use technical judgment and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Serve as a technical resource within the lab, supporting junior technicians, sharing standard processes, and helping improve test methods, data collection, and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to translate test insights into corrective actions and product improvements.
YOUR RIPPLE EFFECT
- Perform component and system testing in support of new product development and product improvement, including setup, execution, and detailed documentation of results.
- Build, modify, and maintain test setups and fixtures, integrating instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and automation platforms.
- Support automated test setups using platforms such as PLCs, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or similar technologies.
- Create and maintain test procedures, test reports, and standard work to support repeatability and continuous improvement.
- Collect, organize, and analyze test data using Excel and other tools to identify trends, variation, and potential failure patterns.
- Analyze field and warranty data and collaborate with Engineering teams to perform failure analysis and root cause investigations.
- Serve as a technical resource for the lab, guiding junior technicians on test methods, troubleshooting approaches, and best practices.
- Manage multiple test activities with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy, safety, and documentation quality.
What You Bring
- Associate degree in Electromechanical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in testing, troubleshooting, or engineering lab environments.
- Strong experience with electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, CAD drawings, and technical documentation.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic circuits, AC/DC electrical systems, sensors, controllers, and other electrical or electronic components preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis on Excel for data analysis, trending, and reporting.
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems and automated test setups.
- Experience with automation and control platforms such as PLCs, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or similar systems (preferred).
- Knowledge of network connectivity and communication technologies, including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and connected device interfaces.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills, including interpreting graphical data and identifying trends.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams in a multi-tasking environment.
