Engineering Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Engineering Technician to join our manufacturing team in Northlake. This role focuses on assembling mechanical equipment, including Bag-in-Box (BiB) fillers and related components, ensuring all assemblies meet quality standards and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of Sales Operations to understand forecasting bottlenecks and inconsistencies to improve sales team's performance.
• Assemble mechanical equipment, machinery, and components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to ensure accurate assembly and proper fitment of parts.
• Perform inspections and quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly machinery safely and effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues during assembly activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve assembly processes and product quality.
• Document assembly activities, including labor time, materials used, and issues encountered.
• Follow company safety procedures and actively participate in safety training programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training, vocational education, or certification in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a similar role within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
