What you will be doing:
- Assist with resolving daily production issues (electrical, assembly)
- Assist with prototyping, assembly, and documentation of new products
- Work with the Engineering team to accomplish daily tasks
- Track and document production and new product issues
- Aid in streamlining procedures for production
- Gather information for Bill of Material management
- self-starter with attention to detail and goal oriented, will need to be able to work some weekends and overtime when needed.
- Maintain and process proper Sea Fox Quality Control documentation
- Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, instruction, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports
- Work closely with department managers, supervisors, and team leads to ensure good quality product and workmanship standards are being met
- Document findings and make appropriate recommendations for improvement
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area
What you will know or what you will have done before:
- Thoroughly understand boat building process
- The ideal candidate will have basic electrical and marine assembly knowledge; experience is STRONGLY preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including documentation and record keeping skills
- Be a go-getter and a self-starter, have (and maintain) a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others
- Strong execution capability, time-management skills, and multi-tasking
- Ability to quickly shift priorities in support of production needs
- Ability to use common hand tools, meters, gauges and other associated test and measurement equipment
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever changing environment
- Must be able to work some overtime and weekends, when necessary
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Requires lifting, standing, kneeling, bending - getting in to and out of boats - up to 10 hours per day
- Must be able and willing to work in a non-climate controlled area
