Engineering Technician

About the role

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician for their customer site in North Charleston, SC to support the US Navy in installing cable, mounting kits, and other equipment in radio rooms of new construction submarines.

Responsibilities

• Work with others to prepare design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of machinery and equipment.
• Integrate and fabricate cables.

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; formal electronics training from Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; four-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: Five (5) years with degree/formal training or seven (7) years with HS/GED of practical experience to include design, preparation and modification of engineering documents and drawings.
• Specific Experience: Four (4) years of practical experience in C4ISR systems, C4ISR land-based vehicular platforms or related C4ISR systems/subsystems; two (2) years of experience, to include design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings; three (3) years of experience in task C4ISR systems, C4ISR land-based vehicular platforms or related C4ISR systems/subsystems, of which 2 must have been performed within the last 3 years.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
