Responsibilities
- Maintain stable production from oil and gas wells
- Control and plan maintenance schedules to reduce deferred production due to equipment failures
- Design, modify, and improve pumping systems and crude reception processes
- Implement loop control and continuous process improvement initiatives
- Conduct inspection and accounting of production through flow measurement systems (LACT and PD meter)
- Monitor and control bottom hole and surface well variables
- Manage water treatment systems and water injection/production operations
- Control diluent injection and gas injection operations
- Oversee cathodic protection for pipelines and storage tanks
- Perform process simulation using static simulators
- Control transport and storage of water, oil, and gas
- Generate daily production reports and track deferred production
- Develop and implement procedures for change management
- Manage variable wells and multiphase pump operations
- Coordinate pipeline construction operations and support engineering activities
- Interpret operational data and make decisions for process control
- Control well testing, sample collection, and BSW analysis
- Prepare and control work permits for cold and hot work in the field
- Supervise field operations including pumping systems and well surface control
- Operate and configure variable frequency drives (VFD) and programmable logic controllers (PLC)
- Manage progressive cavity pumping operations
- Control oil rocker arms and electro-submersible pumps
- Perform pressure testing and leak detection on pipelines
- Conduct well clean-up operations and fluid level monitoring
- Coordinate control room operations
- Operate gas and air compressors
Requirements
- 20+ years of experience in oil and gas production operations
- Expertise in production, storage, and transportation of extra heavy oil
- Process control and optimization experience
- Proficiency with PIPESIM production optimization and fundamentals
- Knowledge of progressive cavity pumping (PCP) systems
- Experience with water management for injection operations
- Pipeline construction coordination experience
- Instrumentation and calibration expertise

- Reading and interpretation of schematics, pipeline drawings, and electrical/electronic diagrams
- Computer proficiency: Windows, MS Office, PowerPoint
- PIPESIM static simulator

Monday-Friday (2 night shift roles, 1 day shift role)
