Engineering Technician

Clean Tech is looking for an experienced Engineering Technician at our recycling facility in Dundee, MI. As a key hands-on contributor, you will drive process optimization to continuously improve safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability while decreasing costs.

Responsibilities

• Maximize assigned processes through a hands-on approach.
• Review production reports to implement ways to reduce downtime, improve performance, and create work instructions and troubleshooting documents.
• Analyze data and complete assessments to identify improvement opportunities in spending reduction, cycle time improvement, and value-added labor tasks.
• Gather information from maintenance staff and operators to drive process improvements.
• Review parts used in processes to verify best performance for cost, availability, and access; make recommendations for changes.
• Coordinate, schedule, and participate in preventive maintenance for assigned processes.
• Oversee solution design, planning, implementation, and follow-up to ensure expected results.
• Collaborate cross-functionally in support of change management and process stabilization.
• Participate in equipment installations and facility improvements, including business expansions.
• Work with outside suppliers for proposals, quotes, and acquisitions as needed.
• Assist in maintenance-related projects in a hands-on capacity (a large part of this role).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering Field for Manufacturing.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience, inclusive of internship/co-op experiences.
• Working knowledge of developing and implementing process improvements and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Microsoft Office experience with strong knowledge of Excel (tables, trend graphs, worksheets).
• Mechanical aptitude.

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay

$70,000+/year (DOE)
