ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
About the Role
You will serve as an Engineering Technician providing engineering support services in the field of construction contracts primarily between the Navy/Marine Corps/Air Force and private contractors.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assure the quality control efforts of the construction contractor.
- Validate quantity, condition, and approval of materials on site prior to invoice payments.
- Provide overall coordination of the construction quality management program for assigned projects.
- Serve as coach, trainer, and mentor for team members who have not attained the journeyman level of expertise.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must include:
- Reviewing plans and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Resolving technical issues.
- Ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills.
