Engineering Technician

Position Summary

Merjent, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their dynamic team. The role involves partnering with engineers and project managers to develop plans, specifications, CAD drawings, and design documentation for various energy projects. This is a full-time benefits-eligible position that can be based anywhere in the US. The anticipated annual salary ranges from $82,300 to $114,200, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

- Use CAD software to create and modify technical drawings. - Assist engineers in developing designs, reports, exhibits, and construction documentation. - Collect and analyze data from multiple sources, often with limited information. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various services and initiatives. - Maintain detailed records of test results, procedures, and other technical documentation. - May occasionally require fieldwork. - Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

- Associate’s degree in engineering or a related field. - 5-10+ years of relevant experience. - Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D CAD software and GIS (ArcMap). - Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. - Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. - Strong written and verbal communication abilities. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
