About the role
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement various technical documents for the department.
- Research and evaluate machines/equipment, manufacturing processes, customer requirements and other performance criteria to develop quotes and documentation for new potential business awards, utilizing knowledge of materials and parts, fabrication, tooling and equipment capabilities.
- Participate in the development of new and/or modified production projects and participate in various steps of the new product introduction and implementation.
- Develop documentation to meet anticipated new project requirements with various machines/equipment.
- Plan and direct various on-site and off-site testing for new machines/equipment as necessary.
- Manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines as necessary.
- Provide training to various departments as necessary.
- Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
- Confer with cost estimation, production, and maintenance to analyze process improvements, space requirements, workflow, design layout of equipment and workspace to provide quote information.
- Able to use various measurement devices such as a ruler, caliper and 32nds/64ths scale.
- Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.
- This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor/Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 3-5 years related experience and/or training.
- Statistical and Advanced Mathematical Skills.
- Intermediate Computer Skills: Ability to perform more complex computer tasks and has knowledge of various computer programs.
- Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
- High Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is only limited standardization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions that may be provided in various forms.
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal.
- Pharmaceutical or medical device experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively present information to various people as the job requires.
- Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
- Ability to hold oneself in a professional manner.
- Ability to set and achieve changing goals.
- Ability to learn and/or take courses in Blue Print Reading and Solid Works as the job requires.

Pay
For Illinois residents: the hiring rate for this position is $56,720.00 to $63,810.00 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
