For additional information about our company, visit our website at www.fisherind.com POSITION SCOPE The Level 1/Level 2/Level 3 Engineering Technician position requires the preparation and updating of detailed schematics/drawings for new and existing heavy equipment used for the mining and aggregate industry. The position also requires data collection and a "Hands on Approach" to hydraulic and electrical systems. The Engineering Technician must be willing to work as part of a team and provide support to other members of the engineering department as needed. Some travel may be required. The Engineering Technician will report to the Engineering Department Team Lead. Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now or in the future. Primary Duties Provide support on design workProduce schematic drawings assigned by the department Team LeadUpdate bill of materials for shop production as neededSupport the preparation of material lists for the Purchasing DepartmentProvide support in machine set-up and automation preparation as neededPerform other duties as assigned Requirements Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Design preferredStrong engineering and mechanical aptitudeExperience with Auto Cad and/or SolidWorksExperience with SolidWorks Electrical a plusBasic skills in word processor and spreadsheet programs PHSYICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk and hear; use hands to keyboard, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, and stretchThe employee is occasionally required to move around the officeSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
