About the role

The Technology Center at Arnold Magnetic Technologies is a fast-paced engineering lab focused on designing and building high-performance electric motor components for various demanding applications. We are seeking an Assembly Technician who will be responsible for hands-on assembly and fabrication tasks, including stator coil insertions, lamination stacking, and permanent-magnet assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Perform stator coil insertions, lamination stacking, and permanent-magnet assembly.
  • Assemble, test, and debug prototype and pre-production components using hand tools and precision instruments.
  • Verify tolerances and performance using micrometers, calipers, Gaussmeters, Fluxmeters, etc.
  • Follow and improve assembly and testing work instructions according to quality standards.
  • Record build data, test results, and observations with high attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to refine designs and manufacturing methods.
  • Design or modify tooling and fixtures to support prototype builds.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide hands-on feedback from the build process.

Requirements

  • 2- or 4-year technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Skilled at working with small components and fine wiring within tight tolerances.
  • Demonstrated craftsmanship, precision, and pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Comfortable reading drawings and technical instructions.
  • Basic CAD or 3D modeling experience (preferred).

Preferred

  • Familiarity with electromagnetic assemblies, motor winding, or electrical testing.
  • Curiosity about how things work and eagerness to learn new techniques.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or R&D environments.

Working Conditions
