Engineering Technician
About the role
Amentum has an opportunity to provide support under the Navy Tactical Computer Resources (NTCR) program for a variety of engineering tasks involving the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction, and operation of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems in accordance with engineering specifications. This role includes providing technical assistance at various ships and shore sites (CONUS and OCONUS).
Responsibilities
- Support engineering tasks related to installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction, and operation of electronic/mechanical equipment and systems.
- Provide technical assistance for legacy UYQ-21 tactical display subsystem equipment and related peripheral equipment.
- Perform duties at various ships and shore sites, both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside (OCONUS).
Requirements
- Vocational or technical training beyond high school.
- At least 3 years of job-related experience.
- Working knowledge of legacy UYQ-21 tactical display subsystem equipment and related peripheral equipment.
- U.S. Navy Fleet experience with the operation, maintenance, and repair of shipboard tactical display system equipment.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Pay
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour. The compensation range or hourly rate listed is a good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
