Engineering Technician (Aerospace/Spacecraft Manufacturing)
Location: Redondo Beach, California 90278
Contract: 4-month contract with potential extension (1st shift, 9/80A schedule). Travel required: 10% of the time. US citizenship required.

As a member of the Spacecraft Operations department, you’ll be responsible for the assembly, test, and launch of a wide variety of spacecraft and payloads.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development, assembly, and integration of Space Vehicle mechanical and electro-mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
- Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
- Participates in the development of sub-system and system test methodology.
- Assists with setting up and tests complete prototype and flight units and sub-assemblies under operational conditions.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Willing to work any shift and cover extended work weeks as required.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge in manufacturing operations and procedures as it pertains to mechanical assembly with a high attention to detail.
- Hands-on knowledge and experience with the use of a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office to supplement work order and other data requirements.
- Comprehension with reading drawings, process specifications, and work order instructions.
- Experience working in clean room environments.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Experienced in spacecraft production and test methodologies.
Pay
$48.00–$57.95 per hour on W2.
