Engineering Technician 3

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical/Electronic Technician with a strong background in circuit theory and the ability to troubleshoot various types of systems and equipment controls and power circuits. This role provides support for Manufacturing Equipment and Systems during scheduled work hours, with occasional off-hour support.

Responsibilities

• Assist and lead in troubleshooting, problem analysis, data collection, and training on complex Manufacturing Equipment.
• Resolve technical problems quickly with initiative and self-motivation.
• Work independently with minimal supervision in a highly matrixed environment.
• Maintain strong organizational abilities and communication skills to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineers and Technicians across the Equipment Engineering Department and other departments.
• Provide detailed and up-to-date documentation of electrical systems, including schematics, assemblies, BOM, and CAD documentation.
• Travel occasionally to support off-site operations and qualify new equipment.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or equivalent is desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical/Electronic Technician with a high degree of autonomy.
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety concepts related to NFPA 70E and Cal-OSHA is desirable.

Skills

• Proficiency in understanding schematics (electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic) with systematic problem-solving analysis.
• Experience with hand tools, soldering, panel assembly, routing conduits, termination of conductors, and mechanical fabrication and assembly.
• Proficiency with test equipment including DVMs, Oscilloscopes, etc.
• Competency in Microsoft Office and ability to create or update documentation, whether as redlines or computer-generated.
• Willingness to learn the Manufacturing Process and various types of machinery involving Electrical, Electronic, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Vacuum, and Mechanical disciplines.
• Familiarity with Electrical Enclosure Fabrication.

Pay

Pay range: $24 to $45 per hour. Exceptional qualifications, experience, and location may impact salary.
