About This Job
Performs construction materials laboratory work to fulfill the Quality Assurance program for the District.
Performs sampling, testing, calibrations, inspections, and documentation for District construction projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED;
OR Six months of experience in sub-professional engineering, heavy mobile equipment operation, or mobile equipment maintenance.

Job Duties
Performs work to fulfill the District's Quality Assurance program.
Receives and processes samples from construction Gangs and Consultants for testing.
Analyzes results to ensure compliance with DOTD policies, procedures, and specifications.
Performs borings and corings of existing roadways to provide information for District Design preliminary plans.

Career Progression: As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as an Engineering Technician 1, 2, 3, or 4 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s).
- Compensation: Depends on qualifications
Engineering Technician 1 - $14.00/hourly
Engineering Technician 2 - $16.03/hourly
Engineering Technician 3 - $18.35/hourly
Engineering Technician 4 - $21.00/hourly
Additional $2.00/Hourly Premium Pay for Every Hour Worked
