Minimum Qualifications
- Engineer Technician - Civil Engineering: AAS Degree or equivalent, 4 years related and progressive work experience with a highway agency or private consulting firm, and MnDOT or University of Minnesota Certification in specific areas.
- Engineer Technician, Senior - Land Surveying/Civil Engineering: AAS Degree or equivalent, 4 years related and progressive work experience with a highway agency or private consulting firm, or High School Diploma/GED and 6 years related and progressive work experience, and MnDOT or University of Minnesota Certification in specific areas.
- Engineering Specialist - Civil Engineering: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, successful completion of the FE examination, and MnDOT or University of Minnesota Certification in specific areas.
Scored Examination Process
- All applications will be screened for minimum qualifications, scored, and ranked. The highest-ranked candidates meeting minimum qualifications will be recommended for scored oral examinations (interviews).
- Final selection includes successful completion of oral interviews, reference checks, background investigations, and pre-placement physicals.
