Responsibilities

• Perform and lead engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, repairs, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and proper operation of MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) systems following resort guidelines.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of HVAC and mechanical components.
• Diagnose plumbing fixtures, handle clogs, and conduct repairs and equipment replacements.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, such as breakers and contactors.
• Repair and troubleshoot appliances and household fixtures.
• Install, repair, and replace tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet as needed.
• Lead small construction projects, including drywall, carpentry, concrete, and flooring.
• Maintain pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and upkeep of all MEP equipment.
• Participate in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for work.
• Operate resort operations software and devices (e.g., HotSOS and other applicable systems).
• Read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and OEM manuals.
• Communicate professionally via radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, battery-powered tools, ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Lead and implement safety practices and guidelines; identify potential safety hazards on the property.
• Communicate and interpret guest needs with positive interactions to reach resolutions.
• Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.
• Represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, attire, and behavior.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s license.
• CPO license as required by the resort.
• HVAC - Universal EPA certification as required by the resort.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow instructions without close supervision.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
