Engineering Tech - Geology Department

Intertek is seeking an Engineering Tech/Field Geologist to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in Ripon, WI. This role offers a versatile career in the engineering, environmental, and construction (A/E/C) industry, focusing on construction assurance, testing, and inspection in civil and commercial construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests associated with geotechnical investigations.
• Attend client site meetings and communicate effectively with client and project teams.
• Work in the field regularly.
• Review project plans and specifications prepared by others.
• Work on one or multiple projects at a time.
• Adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work off shifts and overtime.
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make discriminations in sound.
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold).
• Ability to climb occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management with good organizational and time management skills.
• Strong people skills.
• Experience with Environmental Phase I and II, WDNR reporting, groundwater sampling, and monitoring.
• Environmental as well as geotechnical or construction testing field experience.
• Landfill monitoring experience.
