Job Duties

• Works with Location and Survey specific GPS Real Time Network (RTN), Real Time Kinematic (RTK) and Static Equipment.
• Provides expert technical advice to the Surveyor Supervisor, DOTD Surveyor Administrator and the Location and Survey Automation, Photogrammetry, and LiDAR units.
• Contacts property owners along project to advise them of the proposed survey activities and obtains permission to enter upon private property to conduct the survey.
• Works with Surveyor Supervisor, Surveyor Manager, and survey crews to coordinate and schedule projects for obtaining topographic survey data.
• Coincides control project assignments with location survey party chiefs and field supervisors on projects requiring establishment of new horizontal and vertical control and verification of existing control.

• Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a promotion or Detail to Special Duty and is only open to current permanent status classified DOTD employees.
