Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting on Building Automation Systems (BAS) and related controls
• Install, wire, terminate, and test high, low, and control voltage wiring for HVAC and facility equipment
• Install new control devices, sensors, panels, and associated wiring
• Remove and replace legacy wiring, panels, and control equipment during upgrades or repairs
• Troubleshoot electrical and control systems to identify and resolve equipment issues
• Execute system performance checks on air handling units (AHUs), chiller controls, exhaust fan controls, damper actuators, reheat valves, and steam traps
• Assist with commissioning, validation, and qualification activities for facility equipment
• Update control drawings and documentation following system modifications
• Support continuous improvement initiatives involving BAS and facility equipment
• Develop equipment lists, control point lists, preventive maintenance procedures, and testing documentation
• Conduct facility walk-throughs to evaluate project requirements and equipment conditions
• Complete work orders and preventive maintenance tasks accurately and on schedule
• Support change control documentation, SOP updates, and operator training as needed
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects meet facility standards
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Inspect facility equipment to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs on facility systems
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, control drawings, and scopes of work
• Utilize computerized maintenance systems to document work performed
• Support plant operations through flexible scheduling, including overtime when required
• Communicate effectively with maintenance, engineering, production, and facilities personnel

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Technology, HVAC, or related field preferred
• HVAC certification, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training is a plus
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or facility automation
• At least 2 years of maintenance or engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience with BAS platforms such as Siemens, BACnet, or similar building control systems
• Working knowledge of air handling units (AHUs), chilled water systems, hot water systems, heat exchangers, pumps, VAV systems, and dust collection systems
• Experience supporting facility projects, preventive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting
• Experience working with contractors, vendors, or OEM service providers is preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, mechanical, and control systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and blueprints
• Experience with HVAC controls, BAS, energy management systems, and electrical installations
• Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and automated control systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and program VFDs is preferred
• Proficiency using electrical testing equipment including multimeters, air data meters, anemometers, and flow hoods
• Basic understanding of plant utility systems including compressors, pumps, and air handling equipment
• Ability to develop and execute field work plans
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS); SAP experience is a plus
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food manufacturing, or other GMP-regulated industries
• Knowledge of GMP documentation and change control processes
• Experience supporting equipment validation and qualification activities
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning and documentation

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $24.00/hour
• Type: Contract-to-Hire
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (8:00 AM–5:00 PM, flexible start/end times available)
• Overtime: Must be available for overtime and occasional weekend work to support manufacturing operations

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
• Ability to work in both mechanical and manufacturing environments
• Ability to lift equipment and perform physically demanding maintenance activities as required
