Engineering Support SME

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and advice on current and future activities including studies and initiatives.
• Review, advise, and shape classified initiatives, studies, demonstrations, and programs to meet current and future USAF capability needs.
• Independently execute systems engineering support tasks such as applying DoD, AF, and common engineering/scientific principles, processes, and procedures.
• Aid in translating user requirements into weapons system requirements for program and project design, development, testing, and evaluation.
• Conduct technical and mission analyses of existing and future operational requirements to support programs and projects.
• Develop subsystem concepts and perform technological/trade-off assessments of proposed designs and modifications.
• Assess related AFRL technology initiatives to guide investments and shape transition strategies.
• Develop systems engineering documents and processes for subsystems and associated projects across the customer's portfolio.
• Offer technical and programmatic feedback, develop, and present technical briefings, and create acquisition products and strategies in support of WAG activities.
• Support risk management and configuration control processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of relevant DoD work experience.
• No less than three (3) years' experience in SAP and/or SCI environments within the last five (5) years.
• Master of Arts/Master of Science/Master of Engineering MA/MS/ME degree in a relevant field.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to contract requirements.
