Engineering Sr Technician (Weekend)

Responsibilities

• Aids engineers and scientists in creating, modifying, and testing products and processes.
• Sets up equipment and monitors tests and experiments.
• Inspects products and processes for flaws and identifies areas of improvement.
• Collects and compiles data and reports findings.
• Performs extensive research and development during the product creation phase.
• Utilizes computer-aided design and drafting equipment during the design phase.

Requirements

• Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree, Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise, ability to understand and follow directions, design expertise, mathematical skills, engineering support, computer-aided engineering (CAE) software

Qualifications

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.
