You’ll contribute to developing new technologies and processes that increase efficiency and produce great products people use and love. This role provides key expertise to enhance our automated manufacturing capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Support Manufacturing Process Engineering activities
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity
- Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and improve manufacturing processes and products
- Develop action plans to investigate and prioritize quality concerns, verifying corrective actions for internal and supplier processes
- Lead and conduct process audits to ensure process discipline
- Conduct job ergonomic evaluations and deliver corrective actions
- Analyze root causes, engage in mapping, and implement corrective actions
- Create process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processes
- Deliver capable processes and tools
- Lead the resolution of assembly-related concerns
- Drive variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices for operations
- Ensure compliance with Plant, Corporate, Governmental, and Environmental standards
- Support ISO 14001 compliance and internal ISO auditing
- Identify throughput constraints and drive root cause improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
- 1+ years’ experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience with cameras, error-proofing systems, and/or robots
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
- 8D and 5-Why corrective action and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
- DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience
- Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs
- Demonstrated skills in print reading, tool layouts, and gauging
- Ergonomic analysis knowledge and experience

Pay
This position falls within salary grades 6, 7, and 8.
