Engineering Specialist II

What You Will Do

• Review, investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects.
• Serve as Project Manager or Technical Advisor, on small-to-medium site construction, expansion or modification projects.
• Evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
• Collaborate in site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areas.
• Aid in the development and evaluation of Appropriation Request (AR) for capital funding.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring To Freeport

• A high school diploma or GED and seven (7) years of Engineering experience, OR a Bachelor's degree in a Scientific discipline and three (3) years of Engineering experience.
• Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of mining experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience working in outdoor or field-based environments.

What We Offer You

• The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $93,000-$127,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
