Engineering Services Manager - AI/ML LC Server Platform Integration
About the role
The Engineering Services Manager at Jabil is responsible for managing the development and implementation of advanced technology solutions, focusing on liquid cooling infrastructure, commissioning, and operation related to rack and server assembly and test. This role also involves driving innovation and continuous improvement within Advanced Manufacturing Technology (ATM).
Responsibilities
- Provide communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information with the department.
- Organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style.
- Ask questions; encourage input from team members.
- Achieve communication style alignment with individual team members.
- Know and understand the liquid cooling strategic directions.
- Develop and implement standards for commissioning and operation of liquid cooled systems.
- Develop and implement training program(s) for functions involved in the liquid cooling processes.
- Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems.
- Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
- Provide feedback to peers, BUMs and Director Engineering Services on cost and cost trends.
- Manage creation and submission of project proposals and quotations.
- Forecast Development and Accuracy: Prepare timely forecasts for the department.
- Design and develop new components or redesign existing components to improve company products.
- Champion the use of modern manufacturing technologies such as machine vision systems, collaborative robots (cobots), guided assembly and liquid handling systems to enhance assembly and test processes.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
Qualifications
- Professional Experience & Education: 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, test engineering, quality engineering, and/or manufacturing operations - with a primary focus on process development and continuous improvement in a fast-paced and highly ambiguous production environment. Industry experience in computer, server, and/or network switch manufacturing sectors is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related engineering field. Advanced degree (Master’s) or relevant certifications (Lean Six Sigma) are preferred.
- Manufacturing & Automation Skills: Demonstrated expertise in high-level assembly and integration with complex electro-mechanical systems. Hands-on experience with automation technologies: vision inspection systems, robotics/cobots, automated or guided assembly fixtures, and fluid dispensing or liquid handling equipment is highly desirable.
- Multi-Disciplinary Background: Broad engineering skillset with exposure to multiple disciplines (design, manufacturing, quality, test engineering). Proven ability to solve complex problems that span mechanical, electrical, and software domains - diagnosing equipment issues or improving processes by working with both hardware and software aspects. Understanding and expertise within the contract manufacturing sector is preferred. Experience in electronics manufacturing or data center hardware environments, with knowledge of industry best practices for new product introductions, process improvement, and quality control.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to interface effectively with executives, engineers, production operators, and customers. Experience leading teams or projects, with strong leadership and mentoring abilities to develop talent and drive accountability. High level of initiative and adaptability - able to thrive in a fast-paced setting and navigate ambiguity. Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities. Pay
The pay range for this role is $115,500 - $207,900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offer rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
