Engineering Section Manager
About the role
This role serves as the second-highest level engineering position in the factory, overseeing and providing leadership to lower-level engineering managers and supervisors within a particular engineering section.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products.
- Ensure the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs.
- Act as liaison with engineering in releasing new products.
- Develop systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products.
- Develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Preferred qualifications: Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes; demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions; strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery; EPI experience preferred.
