As an Engineering Sales Representative at Alliance Graphics, a division of TestEquity Group, you are responsible for actively driving and managing the sales process directly with customers or with TEG AM’s customers for custom labels and custom printed products. The role requires articulating the company’s technology and product portfolio, positioning the Alliance Graphics and Test Equity Group value proposition in a B2B business environment. You will engage with end users, support TEG’s Sales Account Managers in a technical sales consultancy role, and provide technical assistance during the sales process by identifying customer requirements, collaborating with supplier representatives, and developing tailored proposals.
Responsibilities
- Act as a factory-trained certified expert (where appropriate) for the TEG sales organization.
- Build and maintain relationships within your contact base, representing Alliance Graphics/TEG brands professionally.
- Partner with Alliance Graphics local/regional suppliers to construct annual business plans.
- Allocate non-assigned leads, ensuring 100% are converted to opportunities and tracked as closed/won or closed/lost.
- Attend meetings with direct customers and Sales Account Managers to determine technical and business requirements, ensuring all necessary information is collated before proposing solutions.
- Provide technical solutions professionally and within agreed timeframes.
- Communicate the company’s Core Value Proposition effectively, identifying best practices to drive soft cost savings and increase customer partnership revenue.
- Create and deliver technical presentations internally and externally.
- Train Sales Account Managers and customers on solutions and provide product support.
- Ensure customer appointment diversity, proactively supporting a significant portion of the territory through on-site visits and growth efforts.
- Work strategically to understand industry trends affecting customers and identify initiatives to align trends with customer opportunities.
- Establish strong relationships with customers, internal teams, and external partners at all levels.
- Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, resolving issues quickly and accurately while consistently achieving project goals.
- Support regional trade shows.
- Directly and indirectly responsible for product quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred but not required.
- 2+ years of label/printed goods sales experience preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with CRM systems is required.
- Sales pipeline/funnel management experience is a plus.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel is required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; TestEquity does not sponsor applicants for work visas.
