About the role
Quality Engineers (QEs) drive QMS compliance and improvement opportunities to ensure products meet customer and engineering specifications. QEs monitor and analyze performance and quality data from various sources to drive root cause/corrective actions and process adherence. They proactively collaborate with other departments to foster a company-wide quality culture and may supervise team members in the QA department.
Responsibilities
- Work with Quality Management to maintain and annually review the Quality Manual.
- Participate in yearly department strategic planning, monthly Quality reporting to Senior and Executive Leadership, and customer-facing meetings.
- Develop quality control systems to ensure final products meet customer specifications and performance requirements.
- Utilize statistical and root cause analysis to review current and past failures; suggest and implement improvements.
- Create, implement, and oversee the development of quality standards and metrics.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Warranty, and Field Service to resolve customer complaints and address technical problems.
- Plan, coordinate, analyze, and report on quality issues, key performance indicators, and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure follow-up on improvements, corrective actions, and customer complaint resolutions; report status to customers.
- Work with other departments and outside manufacturers to ensure purchased and manufactured parts meet engineering and customer specifications.
- Supervise assigned subordinates by directing workflow, managing schedules, and providing coaching, feedback, and disciplinary actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Quality (ASQ CQE Certification), ISO, Lean, Statistical Process Control, Auditing, HVAC, and Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred.
- Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred but not required.
- Experience with SAP modules such as EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) or IM (Inventory Management).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
- Periodic visits to manufacturing facilities with exposure to seasonal temperatures, dust, and chemical fumes.
- Occasional travel, including overnight stays, to customer sites, service locations, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers.
- English proficiency is mandatory.
Work Environment
- Combination of climate-controlled office and manufacturing production floor, laboratory, or field environments.
- Required to wear proper personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures.
- May be called into work outside of normal hours or work extended hours in emergency situations.
- Regular domestic travel to customer sites, service locations, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers.

Pay
$89,458.00 - $121,031.00
