Engineering Project Team Leader
About the role
The Engineering Project Team Leader role focuses on the C280 Gen2 New Product Introduction (NPI) program and future product development efforts within the C280 platform. This role involves leading complex, cross-functional engineering programs, collaborating with teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Validation to deliver products that meet customer and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of the C280 Gen2 NPI program and future C280 platform development initiatives.
- Manage multiple complex engineering projects involving cross-functional teams, organizations, suppliers, and global stakeholders.
- Drive program execution by managing schedules, budgets, risks, deliverables, and key performance metrics.
- Provide leadership and direction throughout the product development lifecycle, from requirements definition through validation and launch.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, validation, purchasing, and supply chain teams to ensure successful program outcomes.
- Facilitate resolution of technical, operational, and program-related challenges through structured problem-solving and decision-making.
- Communicate project status, milestones, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer value.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and technical excellence across the project team.

- Technical Excellence: Extensive knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

- Project Management: Expert knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
- Team Management: Extensive knowledge of effective team building techniques; ability to form and manage effective teams.
- Requirements Analysis: Extensive knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system.
- Product Design and Development: Extensive knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
Qualifications
- Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum OR demonstrated progressive experience in directly related roles.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes & technologies.
- Analytical thinking skills with a track record of effectively identifying patterns, trends, and opportunities within engineering data.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of collaborative relationships with suppliers, dealers, internal teams, and international counterparts to drive collective success.

Location and Additional Information
Location: Lafayette, IN
This position may require up to 10% travel.
Relocation: Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
Summary
Pay Range: $128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
