Primary Duties
- Assist in the design and development of HVAC components and systems.
- Support testing and validation of products to ensure performance and compliance.
- Create and update technical drawings and documentation using CAD software.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.
- Collect and analyze data to support engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and R&D.
- Aid in preparing reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Observe and follow safety and quality standards in all engineering activities.
Job Requirements
- Requires current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework or relevant certifications (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Six Sigma).
- Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with CAD software and engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a project-based environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Essential Mental And Physical Functions
- Critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Follow technical instructions, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively with engineers and technicians.
Physical And Mental Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Use of computers, lab equipment, and hand tools.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs (e.g., prototypes or testing equipment).
- Move between office, lab, and manufacturing floor environments.
Work Environment
- The Engineering Intern will work in a combination of office, lab, and manufacturing settings.
- The environment is collaborative and fast-paced, with exposure to industrial equipment, varying temperatures, and production processes.
- Interns will be expected to follow all safety protocols and may participate in team meetings, training sessions, and project reviews.
