Engineering Project Manager-Industrial, Energy & Infrastructure

Ramboll Energy is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead multi-discipline engineering projects that support our clients and contribute to a more sustainable future. In this role, you will guide project teams, coordinate across engineering disciplines, manage project performance, and serve as a key point of connection between clients, technical teams, and Ramboll leadership. Responsibilities
- Lead multi-discipline engineering projects from planning through execution and closeout, with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate engineering disciplines, project controls, technical leads, and support functions to maintain alignment around project objectives and deliverables.
- Serve as a trusted client-facing project leader, building strong relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and sound technical judgment.
- Manage project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, change management, invoicing support, cash flow awareness, and timely escalation of project risks.
- Apply Ramboll’s project delivery model, tools, and best practices to support consistent project execution and predictable outcomes.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, including technical, contractual, resource, and schedule-related risks.
- Lead project meetings, client communications, internal coordination sessions, and project status reporting.
- Support proposal development, project planning, scope definition, and smooth transition from pursuit to execution where needed.
- Foster a collaborative project environment where team members are engaged, informed, and empowered to deliver high-quality work.
- Resolve issues and conflicts constructively, negotiate practical solutions, and maintain team momentum through changing project conditions.
- Support client development through regular client engagement, awareness of client needs, and alignment with Ramboll’s Energy and Industry strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience managing engineering, industrial, energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, or similarly complex technical projects.
- Strong understanding of project scope, budget, schedule, risk, change management, quality, and client communication.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-discipline engineering teams and coordinate technical work across engineering functions.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including influencing, coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution, negotiation, and team motivation.
- Project Management Professional Certification preferred.

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $145,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime, or other forms of compensation.
