Engineering Project Manager

The ITW GSE Division is an industry leader in manufacturing Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for the aviation sector. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Aftersales, and R&D/Engineering teams to support project execution and customer requirements.
  2. Serve as a technical subject matter expert in Aircraft Ground Power and/or Preconditioned Air (PCA) equipment.
  3. Coordinate with external stakeholders including contractors, consultants, and customers to ensure proper installation, integration, and application of ITW GSE equipment.
  4. Provide technical guidance and training to customer engineering and operations teams on installation best practices, system functionality, and equipment use.
  5. Lead and manage large-scale installation and customer projects, ensuring delivery of commitments, adherence to timelines, and alignment with contractual requirements.
  6. Support the development, review, and maintenance of product specifications and technical documentation.
  7. Identify and drive process and product improvements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  8. Provide technical support to the Sales and Service organizations, including equipment selection, application guidance, and solution development.
  9. Prepare and deliver summary reports on project progress, risks, and performance metrics.
  10. Participate in new product development initiatives, including field validation, feedback collection, and technical input.

Qualifying requirements include:

  • A minimum of 5–8 years of experience in airport, airline, or hangar operations with strong technical exposure.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical or engineering projects from initiation through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of Aircraft 400Hz ground power systems and/or Preconditioned Air (PCA) equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and general electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and evaluating technical documentation, specifications, and manuals.
  • Familiarity with New Product Development processes, including R&D, engineering change (ECR), and innovation workflows.
  • Strong project management, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote or field-based environment with minimal supervision.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to balance technical solutions and customer/business needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and build relationships with customers.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and proactive with a high level of initiative.

Additional requirements include:

  • Knowledge of airport and airline operations preferred.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one legally and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
