Engineering Project Manager

About the role
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. The engineering project manager will be located at our Nashua, NH site.
Responsibilities
- Work with sponsors, stakeholders, subject matter experts, functional area resources, and others to develop project scope, schedule, and budget information
- Plan, execute, monitor, and control all aspects of multiple projects in parallel
- Coordinate internal and external project resources, ensuring resource availability and allocation
- Develop and maintain project plans and trackers at appropriate levels of abstraction, report project status
- Use appropriate methods to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and spend
- Interact with various levels of management as needed
- Manage sponsor, stakeholder, project team, and management expectations
- Manage both positive and negative risk
- Prepare capital appropriations requisitions (CAR) and maintain/track capital finance activities
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external suppliers
- Interface with external customers as appropriate
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, using required project artifact infrastructure
- Understand and drive global accountability to ATCS new product introduction (NPI) methodology
- Understand ATCS products, manufacturing processes, systems, infrastructure, and business models sufficiently to effectively manage related projects
- Travel to ATCS facilities, supplier facilities, and other locations as needed, inside and outside of the US
Qualifications
- BA, BS, and/or PMP certification or an equivalent mix of education and experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Strength in interpersonal communication and relationship development with internal and external resources
- Organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking, and record keeping
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including MS Project
- Initiative, motivation, ability to prioritize, ability to work with limited supervision
- Confidence in being influential without direct reports in an international matrix organization
