About the Role

As an Engineering Project Assistant at Collins Aerospace, you will assist software and systems engineers with administrative, documentation, process, and general engineering support activities. This role requires supporting multiple engineers and providing a wide variety of administrative and computer skills to assist engineering projects. Ideal candidates demonstrate strict attention to detail and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Test Engineering team with local test setups for seat and seat subsystem testing.
  • Acquire raw materials and hardware to support testing activities.
  • Support the execution of seat and seat subsystem testing onsite.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to procure materials and hardware for fixtures used by both Production and Test Engineering.
  • Work with Quality Engineering to ensure hardware and materials align with the required seat configuration and test requirements.
  • Manage parts ordering and tracking through Ariba.
  • Support facility organization and track COPS parts.
  • Create Bills of Material (BOMs) and order required parts.
  • Provide occasional travel support for offsite seat testing activities.
  • Edit and format required documentation.
  • Prepare presentations and coordinate interactions between project/program teams and support functions to communicate schedules and status.
  • Facilitate internal and/or external meetings.
  • Assist with tracking Change Orders and participate in status meetings.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience assisting engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with ejection seats and ejection seat technicians, with a focus on hands-on work in engineering labs.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $53,100 – $100,900 USD. The range is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
