Engineering Program Manager

Major Responsibilities

  • Cook up working relationships with team members across functions and help facilitate communication between groups.
  • Develop project plans, track progress against milestones, and flag risks or delays early.
  • Work cross-functionally to mitigate risks as they are identified.
  • Prepare and distribute regular status updates and program reports to stakeholders and management.
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, and action item logs with accuracy and consistency.
  • Help identify technical and schedule risks associated with hardware development programs.
  • Work closely with product management to understand requirements and ensure hardware work remains aligned to product goals.
  • Support quality and compliance activities to help ensure hardware deliverables meet relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support hardware integration and production readiness milestones.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 or more years of experience in program management supporting hardware product development
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
  • Proficiency with JIRA or similar project tracking tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to keep stakeholders informed
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with solar (PV), energy storage (ESS), or other energy technology products
  • Exposure to firmware development practices and working alongside firmware teams
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., UL, NEC, IEEE)
  • Strong problem-solving instincts and comfort operating in ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
