Major Responsibilities
- Cook up working relationships with team members across functions and help facilitate communication between groups.
- Develop project plans, track progress against milestones, and flag risks or delays early.
- Work cross-functionally to mitigate risks as they are identified.
- Prepare and distribute regular status updates and program reports to stakeholders and management.
- Maintain project documentation, schedules, and action item logs with accuracy and consistency.
- Help identify technical and schedule risks associated with hardware development programs.
- Work closely with product management to understand requirements and ensure hardware work remains aligned to product goals.
- Support quality and compliance activities to help ensure hardware deliverables meet relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support hardware integration and production readiness milestones.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 or more years of experience in program management supporting hardware product development
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
- Proficiency with JIRA or similar project tracking tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to keep stakeholders informed
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-moving environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with solar (PV), energy storage (ESS), or other energy technology products
- Exposure to firmware development practices and working alongside firmware teams
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., UL, NEC, IEEE)
- Strong problem-solving instincts and comfort operating in ambiguity
- Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
