Responsibilities
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple or mega projects.
- Conduct research to develop equipment and material recommendations.
- Manage data and perform complex engineering calculations.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines.
- Lead larger production teams, coordinate multiple discipline activities, and serve as the responsible charge for a project.
- Provide proposal support engineering responsibilities.
- Identify key client interests and drivers for moderately complex projects.
- Communicate client concerns to project team members and develop solutions.
- Provide support for business development or pursuit activities.
- Manage project changes directly with the client under Project Manager supervision.
- Develop and apply advanced engineering concepts and approaches to unique engineering problems.
- Lead large multi-discipline teams to meet project deliverables.
- Provide technical leadership for complex Solar + BESS projects.
- Drive solutions to achieve project goals.
- Review lower-level engineering work or assignments.
- Responsible for managing quality, schedule, and budget.
- Mentor engineering professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
- Minimum of 8 years related work experience.
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (e.g., criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).
Preferred Qualifications
- P.E. License preferred.
- Working knowledge of civil and electrical engineering related to Solar and BESS solutions.
- Understanding of Solar and BESS processes from proposal development through construction, integration, and commissioning.
- 5+ years of experience in design of solar PV and/or BESS facilities, with strong understanding of layout optimization and technical knowledge of major equipment.
- Good communication skills and interest in engaging with clients to grow relationships.
- Intermediate knowledge of project development/siting/studies/permitting, feasibility studies, conceptual design, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and energy production estimates.
- Intermediate knowledge of Power Purchase Agreement content and its impacts on project siting, permitting, design, schedule, cost, commissioning, and O&M.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards.
- Intermediate knowledge of civil/structural and electrical/controls.
- Advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverable content.
- Working knowledge of procurement & contract administration.
- Working knowledge of the proposal process.
Work Environment
- Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment.
- Ability to utilize audio/videoconferencing software tools for internal/external communication.
- Sitting/standing/computer usage for extended periods of time.
- Travel to client sites may be required.

Pay
In accordance with local law, the compensation range for this role is $109,460.00 - $182,800.00.
