Engineering Manager

About the role

The Electrical Engineering Manager leads a team in developing complex aerospace electronics, providing technical guidance, managing projects, and improving engineering processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee product development, sustaining programs, and resource deployment
• Manage budgets and promote technical training for team growth
• Support business development efforts to secure new opportunities
• Ensure compliance with industry standards in design, testing, and development of electrical systems
• Develop and maintain relationships with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers
• Provide mentorship on DC-DC design, power systems, and hybrid circuits
• Identify and mitigate electrical design risks such as EMI, thermal management, and radiation effects
• Work in a manufacturing environment, using safety equipment, and maintaining safety and quality standards
• Adhere to security regulations and handle controlled data as required

Requirements

• 7+ years related experience with 2+ years in supervisory roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Advanced skills in team building, project management, and communication
• Familiarity with circuit design, aerospace standards, and technical practices
• Ability to plan, accomplish goals, and lead process improvements
