What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, Mechanical Drafters, and engineering support staff.
- Manage engineering priorities, workloads, and project schedules to ensure quality deliverables are completed on time.
- Drive accountability for engineering productivity, accuracy, and department performance.
- Develop and improve engineering processes, workflows, and documentation standards to increase efficiency and reduce rework.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support new product development, customer-specific engineering solutions, and production initiatives.
- Oversee engineering software, CAD systems, and drawing standards to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Monitor engineering KPIs, including productivity, cycle time, quality, and resource utilization, while implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and professional development of engineering personnel.
- Serve as the technical leader for the engineering department while helping align engineering resources with overall business goals.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related Engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading engineering teams, assigning work, managing priorities, and developing employees.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production engineering, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Working knowledge of steel manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or other industrial manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
- Ability to read, interpret, and review engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Pay
$130,000 - $165,000 per year
