Duties And Responsibilities
- Identifies and drives continuous improvement for manufacturing
- Responds to production product / process non-conformities, ensuring resources are allocated to support production technicians as part of issue escalation
- Leads the effort towards conducting root cause analysis and develops effective countermeasures
- Creates and manages timelines for projects
- Create and improve process around new product introduction coordination, including engineering and other support functions
- Create and implement methodology for improved workflow and testing capabilities
- Represent engineering function in customer interactions, both for issue escalation of ongoing projects or new product opportunities
- Ensures process documentation is created for newly developed processes and on-going projects
- Create metrics to track process capability and improvement
- As needed creates or recommends creation of drawings for required jigs
- Translate customer specifications into procedures to be performed by the department
- Interact with various departments that impact production and process issues improve productivity and quality
- Establish, follow, and enforce all safety regulations
- Utilize data analysis techniques to prioritize solutions
- Effectively communicate change at all levels in organization

Requirements
- B.S. or higher in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field or the equivalence in work experience
- Eight or more years experience in the field of manufacturing
- Familiar with using statistical process control or similar methods
- Three years direct engineering team leadership / supervision
- Led Six Sigma certifications and use are preferred
