Engineering Manager

Duties And Responsibilities

• Identifies and drives continuous improvement for manufacturing
• Responds to production product / process non-conformities, ensuring resources are allocated to support production technicians as part of issue escalation
• Leads the effort towards conducting root cause analysis and develops effective countermeasures
• Creates and manages timelines for projects
• Create and improve process around new product introduction coordination, including engineering and other support functions
• Create and implement methodology for improved workflow and testing capabilities
• Represent engineering function in customer interactions, both for issue escalation of ongoing projects or new product opportunities
• Ensures process documentation is created for newly developed processes and on-going projects
• Create metrics to track process capability and improvement
• As needed creates or recommends creation of drawings for required jigs
• Translate customer specifications into procedures to be performed by the department
• Interact with various departments that impact production and process issues improve productivity and quality
• Establish, follow, and enforce all safety regulations
• Utilize data analysis techniques to prioritize solutions
• Effectively communicate change at all levels in organization

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field or the equivalence in work experience
• Eight or more years experience in the field of manufacturing
• Familiar with using statistical process control or similar methods
• Three years direct engineering team leadership / supervision
• Led Six Sigma certifications and use are preferred
