Engineering Manager, AgentControl

About the role

For our client, we are seeking an Engineering Manager, AgentControl to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. In this remote leadership role, you will guide a backend-focused engineering team responsible for delivering reliable, high-quality platform capabilities that support important product and operational outcomes. You will partner closely with Product Management and Design to translate business priorities into executable engineering plans, balance scope and delivery timelines, and keep stakeholders aligned on progress. This role also emphasizes team development, cross-functional coordination, and ongoing improvements to reliability, incident response, and execution discipline in a distributed environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers, fostering their skills and career growth
• Collaborate with Product Management and Design to prioritize and schedule roadmap initiatives, adjusting scope as necessary
• Ensure timely delivery of features while maintaining high-quality standards
• Work with adjacent teams on infrastructure and dependencies to streamline processes
• Clearly communicate project roadmaps and status updates to stakeholders
• Establish team norms that enhance collaboration and keep engineers engaged
• Drive improvements in operational reliability and response strategies for production systems
• Participate in the recruitment process to strengthen the engineering talent pool

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in a management role for backend or infrastructure engineers
• Strong collaboration with Product Management to convert business goals into actionable engineering plans
• Excellent communication skills in distributed team settings
• Proven skills in coaching and developing engineers, including performance management and mentorship
• Knowledge of observability practices such as metrics and incident response
• Familiarity with leading AI providers and tools relevant to industrial applications
• Experience with Go and Python or similar backend languages like Java or Rust

Pay

$163,000 – $224,070 annually
