Engineering Maintenance Technician, Plant Operations

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative, corrective and reactive work on critical facilities systems, including cranes, compressed air, dust collection, process cooling water, stormwater, and trade waste pumping systems
• Identify and execute modernization and continuing improvements on responsible equipment
• Evaluate and improve work practices and preventative maintenance procedures for safety, efficiency, capacity, and operating cost
• Ensure all operations are executed with the highest level of planning and safety to prevent injuries and downtime
• Monitor and support sub-contractors in performance of work
• Interact with customers to understand requests or concerns with professional, informative, and responsive communication
• Ensure an adequate on-hand spare parts inventory or lead-time system in place to support responsible equipment

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in any combination of design, construction, commissioning, or maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing or Manufacturing systems in a manufacturing (or equivalent) environment
• Hands-on maintenance experience is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with all levels of management
• High degree of initiative, ability to work with minimal supervision, and the ability to work both alone and effectively with other people
• Ability to consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. Ability to analyze problems and error conditions, identify root causes, and implement viable long-term solutions
• Demonstrated technical understanding of the repair and maintenance of industrial HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
• Command of the English language, both written and verbal
