Hotel Indigo Cleveland Gateway boasts 143 guest‑rooms and suites, over 2,400 sq ft of meeting space and two outlets including a signature restaurant.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to perform a variety of maintenance trade functions such as installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, HVAC, painting, wall repair, tile work and upkeep of the preventative maintenance program at the resort/hotel.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, air‑conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Repair woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, etc.
• Perform mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Maintain records, logs, and reports as required by company policy and supervisors, submitting them in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Experience working in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of household repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Engaging and welcoming personality with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout the shift and lift up to 50 lb.

Pay

Compensation range: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour (actual packages based on skill set, experience, certifications, and location).
